Change of employer while in EAD - How does GC get affected?
Hi,
I have just completed my 6 months since I filed my I-485.
My I-140 is still pending in RFE stage - hoping it will get through within another month. My I-485 is a pre-approved Labor case with priority date of 2001 in EB3 category. I got my EAD and AP way back in August but have not received my fingerprints yet. I have applied for my H1 extension and that is also in in-progress status.
Am I free from my employer yet? When can I call quits and what all do I need to have done before I do that?
Its becoming an unendless torture of slavery and hence want to change asap.
If I do, given the employer's attitude, is there a possibility for him to revert anything? What is all the paperwork I need to get from him as a precaution?
I really appreciate any advice on this. Is there somewhere on the web we can find information on bonding requirements with the employer for a safe green card process.
