  • Need Some Help Please

Hi i'm new in this and I will appreciate some help please.

this is my case, I came here with a J-1 visa with not subject to the two-year residence requirement, my visa was for 4 months long, I met the most special man in my life and we got marry just after 1 month I came here. He is a US Citizen,we did start my process with USCIS right away cause when I called they told me that we need to start my process before my visa expires, so we did. we sent the following forms with the supporting Documents on july/31/2007:

I-485 Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust of Status
    I-130 Petition for Alien Relative
    I-131 Application for Travel Document
    G-325A Biographic Information
    I-864 Affidavit of Support
    I-765 Employment Authorization
    I-693 Medical Examination

They had my Fingerprints already, and I just got my Appointment I-485 for adjustment of status letter, and I am a little afraid cause I got married 1 month after knowing my husband, our marriage is real and we are expecting our first baby together. Do you guys think this is gonna be an issue and im afraid cause he is older than me.

    Please give your advice,

    Ana Gregory

How older is he? My husband is 45 and i'm 24. We are a really bonafide marriage. I don't think you will have problems, especially when you are pregnant. Bring proof of your pregnancy, tax returns, bills under both names, bank accounts, etc.

The immigration officer will question you of your intentions at the Port of Entry when you entered as a student/visitor for 4 months and got married in 1 month? That is a little hard to believe. That you did not know this man before. But if you have enough evidence of a bona fide marriage you should be fine...

Be prepared to explain though, and demonstrate that you did not commit fraud.

Thanks guys for your replies, I came with a student visa with a work contract for 4 months, I know is hard to believe but I did not know him until I came here, I am 20 and he is 40. And the reason we got marry that fast was cause we found out that we had to send the paper work before my visa expires and rush to avoid the higher fees too. Thank you!
