I485 AVM Message

Hi,
My I-485 reciept date is Jul 2 2001, got the fingerprinting done in october for myself and my spouse. The AVM message for myself says 'Fingerprinting received on Dec 5 and are pending review' but for my spouse it says the 'application for I 485 was recieved on Aug 9 and it is taking 390 to 420 days'. All the others from my office that filed with me have got their approval this week and prior to that their AVM status was updated to 'Fingerprinting received and processing is resumed'.
Should I call up the INS to inquire about my finger printing status?? The FBI iquiry nos, do they tell you if the fingerprinting was accepted or rejected ( 304-625-5590/2406).
Please advise..

You should call FBI as well as INS. you should have the receipt as a proof when your FP was done. If FBi does not any record of the INS request, you will need another FP scheduled. Pl. do so ASAP, your case would have approved by now if you had taken steps earlier. FP reports do not take more than a week now a days.

I called up INS and they told that the finger printing has been rejected for both me and my spouse. I have not received any re-fingerprinting notice as yet.
How do I approach the INS to get the notice for re-fingerprinting, please?? The person on the phone said that the application is in an area where they should be sending the notice but did not know when?? Is there a form or something that I need to fill??

Rejected for what? Call FBI and find the reason, may be, there was something missing. Were there any cuts on hand? You need to follow up fast.

AVM Message Changed

My AOS AVM message initially stated that the FP were received and processing has resumed...however when I checked it again this morning, its back to the general message that the AOS was received and a notice will be mailed...Any idea why the sudden change? Any cause to worry??

Call the IIO and talk about this. Sometimes they are not so useful but give a try. AVM messages are not so reliable sometimes and they mix up while updating the case.

IIO

IIO is Immigration Information Officer.

If you call during the business hours of the center, you will have na option to talk to the IIO. It is the same number for the AVM you tried.

Not Found Message

I applied for 485 last December 01. Now today (Aug 10, 2002) I called Nebraska office and once I enter my number the replay was that it was not found. What do I do next? Was there anything wrong? Thanks.

NSC AVM had problems.

The AVM at NSC had some problems, but msot probably it is fixed now. Try again.
