My friend got a letter from INS said his case transfer to local office, it said they finish the preminilary review,his RD is Dec, they said they will call him for interview. We file our case in the same Vermont Service center. Why his case is faster than my? Is it good to have a interview? I am confused. please help, thanks.

Well, thousands file case in Vermont Service Center that does not mean all get interview calls. If your friend got a call for an interview does not mean you will get it too.

Sometimes it is just a routine (just like RFE) to call for an interview. Sometimes there might be something missing, and they decide to call you. Recently somebody got an interview, the IIO said "there is nothing to be worried about in your case" and he stamped the passport! So never assume just because of the interview call. Understand and accept that INS works in its strange way, and nothing about them can be generalized, so just keep your fingers crossed, and hope for the best!
