HELP or your opinion

I had my green card interview over 17 months ago.
My name has been stuck in name check for a long time now.
Just today, I received a 2nd appointment to get my fingerprints done again as they had expired (they do so after 15 months).
Has anyone ever been in this situation? Maybe the name check is done and this triggered the 2nd appointment? (I hear they dont look at your case at random to determine this 2nd appointment thingy)

Anyone else have this happen? Any suggestions thoughts would greatly be appreciated.

ouch! i'm sorry i don't have anything concrete to help u with
i'm a canadian stuck here too..goin in for my interview in april and also stuck in name check currently (i was supposed to receive my AP but they told me i was undergoing a check and to call customer service in 6 mo if i didn't hear back from them...seriously?)

anyhow..i sincerely hope u don't get any more trouble from them...good luck
