If you have the time and feel like helping a person in need, I would like to ask you a few general questions about my I-485 application to adjust status.
I applied as an asylee, and received a notive by the local USCIS to provide evidence of my travel abroad, which was not in the country I fled.
I checked the status of my case online and it gave me this message: "we received your response to our request for evidence. We will notify you by mail when we make a decision or if we need something from you. If you move while this case is pending, call customer service. You should expect to receive a written decision or written update within 60 days of the date we received your response unless fingerprint processing or an interview are standard parts of case processing and have not yet been completed, in which case you can use our processing dates to estimate when this case will be done."
What does this mean, and what should I expect? If my case is denied what can I do next? What is the interview and what happens there?
