Wife quits job while I-485 pending... status?

I am on H1-B status. My wife is on H1-B status with her employer. Her I-485 was applied along with mine based on my Labor Certification and I-140 in Aug '07. She got her EAD card and Advance Parole documents. My wife is quitting her job. She notified her Employer that Feb 15, 2008 will be her last day at work.

Does my employer need to file for her change of status to H4 based on my H1-B status? If not, what will be her immigration status after Feb 15, 2008? In either case, if she finds a new job, can she start working based on her EAD card?
