  • I-485 and EAD

    i've sent I-485 with I-765 last december 28, 2007 and until now i don't received any receiot notice from them and the i put some check on it and im worrying coz its gonna be expired this march and i've been here for 3 and half months and i am from indiana i read the instructions there that we need to send the 2 forms in nebraska but now its already more than 60 days and i don't received anything from them and i we called the USCIS regarding on this problem and they told us that we got a wrong send instead in nebraska it will transfer in chicago...is this type delay normal???we did the right thing but they said its not... can you help me???...i need someone who can help me... thanks a lot...marian joest

    Because you sent it to the wrong address, if that's how I understood your post, yes there will be a delay. Again, just a tip for all...please make sure to read the instructions. Usually your situation will determine where you should send it. I485s and EADs are sent to Chicago IL...usually.

      but according to the instructions we need to send in nebraska but when we call in USCIS we need to send in chicago so thats why we are so confused...why they put the instructions in nebraska were we need to send in chicago...???i need some answer for this one...thank you

        You probably misunderstood the instructions. All AOS packages go to Chicago Lockbox, period.
