Filed I-485 and EAD

I filed I-485 and EAD last week and would like to know:

1. How long would it take for me to get the EAD?
2. Whether the fingerprint is a requirement to get the EAD? If so, when will I approximately hear from the USCIS to get the fingerprint and how long it would take afterwards to get the EAD?

1.- Originally from 60-90 days. But most likely from 80-120 days.
2.- Yes, it is. You need your fingerprint and picture put in the EAD, so you must go to the Biometrics before you get the EAD. Usually it takes within 30 days for the Biometrics appointment notice to be received and they are scheduled within 60 days from the receipt date of the application... How long after Biometrics will you get EAD? you do the math... 80-120 days minus the amount of days that took for you to get your biometrics.

Hi,
I don't know what criteria you are filing under, but my was as a spouse of a USC. I submitted my AOS documentation Dec 12.07.07 and had my biometrics done 01.04.08 and received my EAD end of Feb 08.

So in all, it was about 3 months from start to finish.

I did the biometric and now awaiting for the work permit. I saw the status online and it says that the work permit has been ordered to be printed and sent to me. They say it would take a maximum of 30 days.

I have one question though with regards to the I-485. I came with a K-1 visa and got married within the required time, i.e. 90 days. We however filed the application after the I-94 expired. It expired in December and we only applied for the adjustment on February 2008. Is there any possibility it will be denied because the application was past the expiration date of the I-94? Am a little bit worried.
