  • had interview but needed more documents

    Hi all,

I had my AOS interview with my wife on Jan 17th. in San Jose, CA.

The officer said we were good but we needed to give additional evidence of 40k in assets or have my sister co-sponsor with a I-864 and gave us a piece of paper with our file number by 42days after the interview.

I sent in the I-864 co-sponsor to the address on the paper with an attention to the officer's name (the uscis office in san jose that we had the interview at)

I checked the case status online and it was old information stating we sent in additional evidence in october 07. I also went to the office again thru infopass and they said they could only give us the same info we saw online and told us to come back after 3 months of the interview date.

How long does it take for the officer to approve our case if he said he would do so at our interview!!!!????

Anyone have the same situation of sending more docs to the interview officer and then taking so long????

BTW the interview was a breeze...

    thanks in advance

it could take up to 30 days before you see any movement in your case. All you can do now is wait.
