  • Questions about adjustment of status

First I would like to thanks in advance to anyone that can provide some information about the matter.

I recently got married and i'm about to apply for an AOS through my wife that's a USC. I came here legally with a visitors visa, but been out of status for some years now.

    My questions are:

    1) I don't have the original I-94 when i was first admitted to the US. I still have my passport with the immigration stamp when i was first amitted under B1 visa. Also I do have 2 I-94s that were given to me when i was granted and extension to my stay. are these good enough to show that i arrived here legally? A friend of mine told me she had lost hers and had no problem filling for AOS without getting another I-94.

    2) Also on the forms where it asks my current status what would be the correct answer. Out of Status?

    3) I saw a previous post about form G-325A. were Praetorian XI was helping someone (he seems to be very helpul btw). I'm not sure if if got it right. but how many copies of G-325A do we have 2 summit? one for each one of us for with form I-130 and one for each one of us for form I-485?

Sorry about the long post, but want to make sure i get everything correct. I've gone through a lot of problems before because of things not filled correctly (Even with a lawyer). Just want to make sure it doesnt happen again

Thanks again for the help anyone can provide.

You could file an I-102 (replacement for I-94) but I do not think it is necessary.

    2) Also on the forms where it asks my current status what would be the correct answer. Out of Status? Yes.

Thank you I'm not sure if if got it right. but how many copies of G-325A do we have 2 summit? one for each one of us for with form I-130 and one for each one of us for form I-485?Each G-325a SET contains 4 pages, all 4 pages are the SAME page... that being said, the petitioner (US Citizen) must fill out 1 SET for the I-130, the beneficiary (alien) must fill out 2 SETs, one for the I-130 and one for the I-485
