Married more than 2 years and now coming to USA on K3

So my husband and I have been married for more than 2 years and the DOS told us that we should have our visa within this week. He's coming here on a K3 - my question is what's our next step since we have been married for this long - most people I know have not been married that long when their spoiuses arrive. So is our next step the I-485? Is it true that he doesn't have to apply for a social security number or work permit as he will get that since we can apply directly for a green card? Any help will be great. I have no idea what the next steps are once he arrives. Thanks

He needs to apply for a social security number, once he receives his Green Card.

He will have to file I-485 when he arrives.
