  • biometrics ID

    Hi!
Has anyone been able to get their biometrics done without a state or government issued ID. This would be for my kids, ages 14 & 16. I have tried multiple times to get the ID, but cannot get it without first getting the green card. Ironic, huh?
I do have birth certificates, school ID's, picture bank account ID's, etc.
    Any advice?
    Thanks,

Why don't you use the passport as the government issued picture ID?

We haven't been able to get their passports either, due to not being able to get the state issued ID card. Its frustrating, b/c I actually have all the necessary papers for the ID, but the dmv people wouldn't accept the kids' I-94s.

you can use the school ID for them. I used it for my 16 yr old son. also you may want to take the birth certificate along wiht you.

Thanks so much for letting me know that. I'll take what I have and see how it goes...

For anyone in this same situation, we were able to use their school id's (actually homeschool id's) and their birth certificates. No problems at all and everyone in the office was incredibly nice!
