CP Option

I am getting my GC processed by an employer for whom I have never worked. However, I do intend to start working for that company once my GC is done. In this scenario, is it advisable for me to opt CP or shall I follow I-485 path. I have never been out of status. All my H1 docs and pay stubs are in perfect order.

Any help would be really appreciated. Thanks!.....
