  • Case moved to California Service Center-Phretorian-pls explain or anybody

Applied for elderly (almost 80 years old) mother for AOS on 4/2/08 with Chicago Lockbox, notice received 4/9/08 from MSC-National Benefits Center, Lee's Summit, KY that papers were reveived, fingerprints done (only 1 finger and photograph because of age) in St. Paul, Mninnesota 4/29, computer notice on 5/2--case moved to California Service Center. Why California if we live in Minnesota, they have such a long processing dates comparing to other centers.
Question 1. My friends never had cases moved to other centers, notices came from National Benefits Center for evidence and then appointment dates with the local Minnesota office. Why are they moving her case way accorss the country? It makes me very, very worried that they have moved it, why?,
Question 2. We filed I-131 for travel with AOS. California's center processing dates are 2x longer then other centers (normal about 3 months, California-6months). Is her I-131 being processed in California or separately in National Benefit Cetner? We all need to travel in the beginning of July. What kind of evidence I need from my country that we have to travel?
    Anybody else with same situation?
    Thank you
