Incorrect 'last name' in birth certificate

My last name 'Ramesh' was misspelled as 'Remesh' in my birth certificate. All my documents have the last name 'Ramesh' ... My folks tried to get the name changed in my birth certificate in India but they were told that nothing can be done about it ... Is there some alternative to this birth certificate ??

wrong last name

Take a birth certificate from the Indian Consulate/embassy or get an affidafit from mother do not give wrong BC.
