Are we on track..please advise!!!

my wife and I have been married for approximately 5 1/2 months now. She legally entered the U.S. 10 years ago. We started the processes with the I-130/ 325 forms and fees back on Jan 1 2008.
-since then we've recieved three notice of actions(I-797c) on the I-130 forms
-I recieved and paid a 70 dollar Affidavit of Support form from N.V.C
-today I am being instructed to submit the Aff. of Support forms with
bar code sheet they sent.

Somehow i think the Gov't thinks I am bringing her into the US.
When will i be submitting the I-485 forms... and i screwed up. thanks for any help on this....

Question... IF she entered the US 10 years ago legally, why are you filing the papers for this? Isn't she a resident already?
You two got married in the US?

Please dont think I'm trying to be rude, it just seems wierd to me that you have to file I-130, G-325A, and I-864. I would think you two are ok and good to go on with your life together. Unless theres something in the past 10 years of her living here..
