Alien Smuggling Relief

My friend has been caught trying to bring in his nephew illegally through the border, and was issued an NTA. He is a permanent resident under NACARA, but is also happily married to a US citizen with 5 kids - all underage.

Any ideas on how he can keep himself from getting deported? He will most likely get convicted of alien smuggling.

Get him a good immigration lawyer.

isnt that grounds for removal?
as far as i know, i think it is.

Pretty much any crime, is grounds for removal... specially human trafficking.
