Finger print approval

Hi.
My priority date is Aug 1999 and I-485 Receipt date is Jul 2001. I going to India for my Marriage in May 2002. Since I have no option to postpone my FP date (For Texas center) I am planing to do my Finger print during the first week of April 2002. My attorney told me that I can apply for the follow on to I-485 for my spouse as long as she is able to enter US before my GC gets approved. Since I will be coming back to US in May 30'th. I can file the Follow on to I-485 for my wife only after that, say by the second week of June. Wondering It would be cutting too close. Does anybody know how long it takes from the date of finger print to get the GC approved.

I received my notice in January 02 asking me to do the finger print any time after FEB 18'th but not later than
April 18th.

What is your current status?

Are you working on an H1 or EAD? It could make a big difference as to wether your wife can get a visa to travel to the US with you.
