Husaband refuses interview

Hello all,
I was wondering if anybody out there is in the same situation. I have been married for less than 2 years, therefore we were called for an adjustment of status interview. My husband (usc) refuses to attend the interview as a punishment to me. My question is what are my options from here? He mentally abuses me.MY guess would be to divorce him and carry on with my life. Any one know the fastest state to get a divorce? My state, u have to wait 2 years before u can file.

I suggest you get a lawyer and make sure you go for the interview and explain everything to the migration officer as long as you know the marriage was for real and not just for you to get a Greencard. And what is he punishing you for? Good luck!

Thank you Joann for ur quick response! My husband is jealous of the fact that i'm really smart, beautiful and chic( he admitted this to me) He thinks that if he helps me get a green card i'm going to get a better job, making more money than him. He wants me under him in everything, he thinks women are beneath him and believe me it gets worse. My advice to you single ladies is to look deep before you leap. They all seem nice in the begining but once you marry them they want to control your every move. Don't get me wrong there are good men out there who wouln't mind their wives making more than them!all hats off to you good men out there.
