I am currently working in US in H1b status which is valid till Aug 2010 but expired visa stamping. I have applied for a 485 and my 140 is also approved. Currently I have EAD and AP for the family which are expiring in Oct 2008. My wife used her EAD to work for 6 months. I don't want to apply for the extensions because I am pursuing a job opportunity outside US and wanted to leave before end of this year.
1) What will happen to my green card process?
2) If my 485 got approved while I was outside, can I come back to USA to get my Green card? If so, how? What will be my wife's status? (she used EAD)
3) Will AP and EAD go hand in hand? Can I apply for AP extension (to get in to US) for both of us without EAD extension?(expired EAD)
4) They have started 2 year EADs now. Is it the same for AP as well?
