can I file for i-485?

Gurus,

Please advice. One of my friend suggested possibility that I have mentioned below and I was not aware of it.

My PERM was approved in Feb 2006 and i-140 was approved in June 2006 with company A. I left company A in April 2007.

I am currently working for company B in similar job category, I am working for company B under H1-B. Can I file my i-485 under AC21 rule?

AC21 can be used after 180 days of 485 filing to be safe.

. My i-485 was not filed by my ex-company because of PD not being current. I guess AC21 is only possible if i-485 was filed. Correct?

I only have approved PERM and approved i-140.
