  • Removal of Conditions: Living separately?

    Hello,

My husband and I right now are living in the downtown area of a major metropolitan city. My husband has a job that gives him a two hour commute each day. I, on the other hand, have a job downtown and attend college in downtown as well.
My husband really wants to move closer to his job to reduce his gas expense, but he realizes that this will be a burden on me with my work and my studies. We have been thinking about living separately, but we have not been married for two years yet and we will be going through the removal of conditions soon.
Does anyone think that immigration will look down upon this if we do live separately?

    Thanks!

yes. It will be harder to remove conditions. You better wait until the I-751 filed.

Thank you! Just one more question!

Thank you for answering my question!
I just had one additional question.
You said that we should wait until the I-751 is filed. Does that mean they would not check to see if he moved to another location during the processing?
Wouldn't we have to let the authorities know also of his location?
Let me know when you have the chance!

        I meant approved...

But even then, for applying for citizenship in 3 years, 3 previous years of COHABITATION are required...
