485 processing dates

I fall in the category of millions who have applied for 485 in 2007 fiasco.

1) I am confused on 485 processing dates and visa bulletin dates (labor priority dates). I guess bulletin dates apply for those who haven't applied 485 yet. Is this correct?

2) Does the labor priority dates take in to account while processing the 485 applications? For instance, Nebraska center is processing applications as per Aug 6th and my application fall in that category. But, my labor is cleared in Jan 2006 in EB3 category.

3) For 485 processing dates update, what should we consider? Received Date or Notice date (both vary by 3 months for me)

I appreciate if anyone can light this up.

1. Yes and also to people waiting for GCs as their case will get approved only if PD is current.
2. Yes. Yours is EB3 though and will not be touched unless your PD is current.
3. Date they got the application. Again the processing dates is also an estimate and not accurate to the day.

Umm.. looks like I shouldn't bother about getting GC (since EB3 is unavailable) at least for >1 year from now.
