I-485 fee

I will be applying for my spouse's I-485,I-131,I-765 and G-325A. And the fee for the I-485 is $930+$80(for biometrics), for I-131 is $305 and for I-765 is $340. I heard that if one is filing for all these forms together you have to pay only the I-485 fee which is $1010(930+80), is this true? Also please let me know the mode of payment, check/money order. If i send it by money order, should it have to be blank money order? Thank a lot.

Read the instructions to the forms and you will find the answers to your simple questions.

Basically, you only pay $1,010 for the I-485 (with Biometrics included) and that also includes the I-131 and I-765 fee, And you pay $ 355 for the I-130. That, plus the cost of the medical exam for the I-693, is all you have to pay.

There are many ways you can pay, the best one would be a personal check, so you can track the number in the back of a check and know when it has been cashed... However it is that you pay, it must be payable to: US Department of Homeland Security.

Thanks praetorian XI for your help. I am applying for an employment based green card, i dont think i have to submit I-130.
Also i have one more Question... what is an 'A' number(file number) ? it has been asked in G-325A and I-485 forms. also asking for spouse's 'A' number.. please reply.
Also please let me know do i have to send seperate bank checks for $930 and $80 for I-485 and biometrics respectively or can i send one bank check of $1010 for both the things?

You spoke of your spouse's AOS, so I figured it was family based... forget about the I-130 then.

The A-number is your Alien number... either you have one or not (most people do not). But you will be assigned one by USCIS, so for now put "none".

Send one check for $1,010.

As a sponsoring USC, should I put anything for the A number on the G325A form?
My lawyer said not to put one as a USC (I am a naturalized citizen so I did used to have one) since it will confuse the USCIS folks.

Need Help!!!

I am entered in US with the Visa I 94 in June. We have got married on 08-02-2008. On 08-08 we have sent I 485 and I 130 the applications to Chicago I have a return air ticket at the 09-05-2008 .Need I fly back to Germany or can I wait till I receive answer even if my Visa I 94 has gone off?

I really would be very pleased if anyone could help me!!!

You can wait legally until the GC is approved or denied.

We sent I-130 and G-325.
So I hope it is the right way!
How long do I have to wait for an answer?

Did you get a receipt for the I-130 yet?

No. You need to wait for the I-130 receipt and then send the rest of the forms along with a copy of the i-130 receipt.
