Hello Everyone,
A bit of background about me: Came in US via K2 visa on 1988 - parent got the citizenship in 1993 , while lawyer advised I should wait for parent to become citizen and petition me - unfortunately did not work out due to me being 24 at time of parent filing. In 2002 - after denied and deportation procedure being fought - I finally got the interview at the INS in NYC - officer wrote in the passport I485 pending. (paid $1000 penalty) afterwards no other movement from the INS - sent numerous letters (being bounced back in fourth between NY, VA and VT). Moved from NYC to VA and married a USC in April 2006. What can we do to make sure the status is legal?
thanks for all your advice - kodpet
