Green Card approved while abroad

I travelled abroad 2 months back in early May on Adv Parole. My green card was subsequently approved when I was abroad.
Subsequently I waited for 2 months for green card to be rec'd.
however on 6/20/08 - i recd first email saying card production is ordered
0n 7/29/08 - i recd again an email that card production has been ordered

i have postponed my entry back to US twice, however should I wait outside US for longer or return back using advance parole.
how much time does it typically take from time the card production email is received to the time when card is actually delivered.

Return to the USA now, with Advance Parole... worst case, you can ask for deferred inspection.

Are you back?

Did you come back on AP? If yes, what did they ask at port of entry? Did you recieve your card yet?

Once GC is approved, once cannot use AP to enter. Either a I551 stamp or the actual card needs to be presented. If not, you will be sent to secondary inspection.

Green Card approved while abroad

My wife green card got approved yesterday [03/12/11]. She received email from USCIS stating that her card is under printing and she should get it within 30 days. Right now she is in India with valid AP and plans to come back after 2 months.

I spoke to my lawyer about my situation and he suggested she should come to US ASAP, and go back to India with GC this time. He believes if she comes on AP after 2 months, she might face issue. I said what if I send actual GC to her with friend and she can come with GC but he still believes it is a risk.

Can you please suggest should I ask her to come to US in next few days or mail GC to her in India and let her come to US after 2 months with actual card.

She will get her GC within a week as I was approved 3rd March , GC was sent 7th March and I received it 11th March. She should come back and then can go back later and then she has her GC to return with as Ap is no lobnger useful to her.
