I-485 and H1-B

Hello,
I am currently on my husband's GC application (EB3) and we submitted I-485 in 2007. I am on H-1B visa till 2010. Can I start another GC application in EB2 category with my company? If in case my husband's GC gets approved before mine, do I get the GC (as part of his application) too?

Please advise.

Can be done through initial process. When it comes to I485, it is advisable to just have 1 application to avoid complications.
