  • steps after the AOS interview

I am a Canadian who married a US citizen upon arrival in the States.

We recently had our AOS interview and also have received the conditional permanent resident card. I wanted to confirm the steps to be followed to complete the immigration and settling process. I had the following questions:

    - Since I already have the conditional permanent resident card, do I still have to get my Canadian passport stamped with the I-551 stamp or can I travel to other countries with the conditional permanent resident card.

    - I can now apply for a Social Security.

    - Is it a norm to be called in for a second interview when we want to switch from a conditional permanent resident card to the Green card ?

In 2 yrs time, 90 days before the expiration of the conditional permanent resident card, we apply using the I-751, send it to ,
    USCIS California Service Center
    P.O. Box 10751
    Laguna Niguel, CA 92607-1075,
along with the fees $545 ( $465+ $80 biometric service fee), or the relevant fees at the time.

I want to know the steps that I need to complete in the next few years to complete the settling process. Are there any steps that I am missing ?
    Thanks for all your help

Also, another question that I forgot to address in the earlier post was when can I apply for the citizenship ?
