travel within the us

hi everyone I am new to this forum so thank you for any help. My wife wants to travel to another state in usa (by plane) and I have filed her application i485 and we received a receipt notice. we recently received another letter stating that they need more evidence(medical exam and vaccinations) to process her i485, we send everything in a few days ago. the uscis website says that her case is on hold while the evidence is received and processed. my question is Is it safe for her to travel within the usa only with a us state issued drivers license?

So she can travel by airplane. I am just so worried that she might get in trouble and it might affect her case.
