Help on filing issues

I am an H-1b holder whose wife is awaiting final word on her !-485 submitted a year ago, I am getting ready to file my I-485 as a derivative status beneficiary and need to know if I need to file a new Affidavit of support for myself.

Is there a speail form aside from the 485 that I also need to file?

Also do I need to give my own employment information, W-2's or do I just reference what she has already sent.

I was listed on her I-140 prior to being submitted by I hadn't finished my waiver

Same 485 form (but the appropriate category checked). Don't need affidavit of support, instead attach copies of h1, W-2s.

How essential are W-2's

I was wondering, nowhere in the instruction manual does it say that I shouls include W-2's in the preparaation for an I-485.

Are they always requested, or is this more discretionary?
