RFE on I-485

Hi,

Have submitted Birth Certificate from Indian Embassy but then we Got an RFE on Birth Certificate. Now, we got a BC from Municiple office in India.

1) But in this BC, Date of Registration showing BC issue date (i.e., 20 September 2008) , is this acceptable?

2) And also, can we submit both Birth Certificate obtained from Muncipal office and also Affidavits obtained from relatives as we got both.
Or submitting just BC would suffice the RFE? Do they bother about extra documents (affidavits)? Thanks.

1. That is common. You may have to say a reason for late birth registration in an affidavit and accompany those with affidavits of other elders.

Thanks for answering. For question (1), can I put reason for late registration (it is late by 34 years) in Cover letter.

Can we submit photo copy of Birth certificate? Thanks.

Is there any sample of cover letter for RFE.
