Special Consideration

Hi,
I need some advice on my I-485. My priority date is Feb-2002. The Philadelphia center had lost my file and contacted me only this year. I had to resend everything and now my I-140 is approved.
Is it ok to attach a letter of some sort asking USCIS to take into consideration this factor and expedite the processing? Or would it backfire?

Ah!

... good to know they contacted you and you were able to send all your documentation.

However, their losing of your file has no bearing on their expediting the case. They cannot be held liable (that easily) for losing your stuff.

There is no reason to backfire but you could try and I am sure it will not help.
