Tourist Visa Expiring

My son married his wife while she was here on a visitors visa. They've filled out all the forms for the adjustment package and are waiting for a few of the support documents to arrive before they mail the packet. Only problem is, her visa expires very soon. If they can't file the package before the visa expires, will she be in trouble for over staying her visa?

I filled forms I-485 and all other required forms three days after my visa I-94 expired and have no problems ,but maybe I am just lucky.Better would be to send all forms before visa expired!Which documents are you waiting for?

Waiting for the Civil Surgeon to complete I-693, and still looking for someone who can confirm the translation of her Japanese birth record. Might have to go to the Embassy for that one.

I just can tell you about my experience.I think it is a good idea to ask the Embassy .How long you have to wait for medical exam?I had my medical exam within two weeks.

visa expiring

Thanks for the feedback cupcake The exam was last week, but he thinks the tb test showed a false positive so she has to have a chest x-ray tomorrow. Visa expires next week... if all goes well, should be able to get it in on time. Wish us luck, and thanks for your reply.
