I filed I-485 for my wife. Along with it I filed for I-765 & I-131. The fees amount for I485 and biometrics are 930 & 80 respectively. if you file the I-765 & I-131 concurrently with I-485, you don't pay fees for them. The total check amount is $1,010. and they tell you in the I-485 instructions that you may write a check for $1,010 and that's what I did.
I got the first notice of action as " rejected". And the reason written on the notice of action is "Check Amount is incorrect" and the same thing applies for I-131 & I-765. However they're telling me to pay the same amount I already paid.NOTHING NEW. There was absolutely nothing wrong with my application.
I called the USCIS cutomer service for help. They told me that I am aobsultely right and there is nothing wrong with it. They told me to send a letter explaining the situation. I sent a letter with the appkication again.
Unfortunately I received the same notice of action for the 3 application " denied because the amount is wrong. they did not even read the letter it seems. i called again and they told me to go to A field office and they will help you out there. I went to the field office after I took an appointment with Infopass. i explained the situation to the officer and she told me " sorry sir, we can't help you here, they misled you. i told her that my check amount is correct and she said " i cannot advice you what to do. ABSOLUTELY NO HELP. She cannot advise me.
How should I proceed next? i don;t have a clue other probably call the customer service again and insist on talkingto a supervisor? Anybody could shed a light on what i needto do? Please . Thanks for the help

i have never heard about that, ok if you file i-765 with i-485 for that you don't have to pay, if you filled 765,485 and 131than you need pay for 485- $1010, 131-$305, 765-no fee. total $1315 i think. What you should do is get the lawyer because this very confusing process. good luck.

Yes, i happened to me too.
THERE IS AN ADDITIONAL FORM YOU SHOULD FILL.
AND THAT IS I-130. IT HAS A DEFFERENT FEE BUT NOT LISTED AS ON THE THE
ITEMS IF YOU LOOK AT THE FORMS AT THIER SITE.
I FILLED IT AND AM THROUGH.
PLS CHECK AND FILL I -130 WITH THE APPROPRIATE FEE ADDED.

            hi evryone!

I have filed form 1485 for AOS together with I-765,I-131 on the 3rd week of october then after a week we recieved the reciept that they have recieved our application and after another week we recieved again the 3 notice of action for those 3 applications for I-485,I-131,I765, saying that the next step is to have our my biometric taken and uscis will schedule our biometric appointment. We only paid for 1,010 check. and when i read one of the posted here sayin that still need to pay seperately for I-131 for travel document or AP.. If we sent the wrong amount of check then they have told us after they recieved our application. So based on my application i can say that no fee for I-131 and I-765 if u filed that with I-485. thanks!
