  • Advance Parole

I have applied for advance parole to go to India (with my family) for 2 months from 8/28 onwards and my H1 approval is valid till Nov 2002. My H1B Visa has however expired 2 years ago. I have already filed for I-485. If I get my I-131 approved then will I still need some papers from my H1 holder and get visa stamped in the Indian Consulate at Chennai, India or is the I-131 approval itself a sufficient travel document. If a fresh Visa is needed will they (US Consulate at Chennai)give a fresh Visa based on I-131 or will they further need any documents from the employer ??

    Thanks for your advise.

    Vijay

    No more papers needed...

Make copies of the AP with photo and give it to the airlines people who ask for valid papers. While coming back, fill up the I94 and give the AP, Passport and I94 to the officer. You will get all of them stamped as adjustment applicant after they verify the A#
    Relax.
