Notice Date: Oct 2001
EAD; received valid until Nov 2002
Finger printing completed: Dec 2001
My LIA approval is until Sep 2003 but , as is the practice for Indian passport holders, it has been stamped on my passport for only one year and expires Aug 2002. It has to be renewed in Sep 2002 for another year.
My question:
If my i485 remains unadjudicated for 180 days from Oct . i.e until March 2002 I understand I can join another employer. I
A)In case my designation and responsiblilities remain essentially the same as my present one but my salary reduces, would this adversely impact the Green Card process during interview?
B) In that case what do i need to do to renew my LIA in August - if i work with another employer (based on my EAD). Does the new employer have to file for a H1???
B) Suppose i do not want to take up an alternate employement can i wait it out untill i get the interview call and presumably the green card?
