Urgent Help

Hello,
I am in critical situation.
I am on H1 visa and my I485 is processing. EB3-PD-04/2002, Dec Visa Bul - 10/2001. Now I am in process to finalise a project in India for 6 month to 1 year with the same $ rate I am getting here in US, so obviously it is great money. Can someone please suggest how to go about that?
1- Do i need to keep my present company in between my new company and me to keep my H1 status?
2 - Can I take 6 months vacation on H1 and work for different company for that period and come back?
3 - If anyone has idea about tax implecations, it would be great help.

Please please suggest me. I don't want to miss it. I got selected for 1 out of 2 positions available.

I dont know if I understand your question but based on my experience H1B holders are only allowed to work under one company. I dont know if you have work permit with you. ask your attorney if this is an important issue.
