filing tax seperately effect greencard interview?

I married with the citizen and on process for the greencard. My question is if I file tax return for 2008 seperately with my husband (1040 Form) because I am international student (1040NR Form), will it be any effect with my greencard interview?

OR can I choose to be treated as a resident alien and file on 1040 form with him? Thank you very much.

You can be treated as a resident for tax purposes.
