I am in the US on an F-1 visa and currently attending school. I am planning to marry my fiance who is a US citizen.
I would like to take one semester off and then return to school again in the spring. Will I be able to stay in the US? I heard that after my wife has filed an I-130, I can stay in the US and retain my legal status. Is this true? Thanks!
