Do perents get contacted while doing AOS in US, need to know this urgently !!

Hi Dear,
Hope you all are having wonderful holidays. I wanted to get back to you with a very important thing i needed to know I am adjusting here from B1/B2 based on marriage to USC wife.

Now as she is quite a bit elder from me , I had to keep this thing away from my mom & dad in India as you know marriage with age difference is not quite appreciated in societies there. So what we planned in after I start working and after i can travel post GC, i wd take here there and introduce her.
BUt before that I dont really want them to know this :

Is there any chance that they call my perents in India to ask things after we apply for AOS ? as you know we give all informations in the forms.This is very important for me to know before I apply. Did anyone`s perents get contacted ?

I know they do contact if someone is doing K1 or K3... but do they contact perents while someone is adjusting here based on marriage from B1/B2 ?? I dnt think the home consulate is even contacted as they take all decisions here.... can someone who adjusted from B1/b2 pls reply ...............

No one is contacted but you may need affidavits of birth or other documents from them. This will not reveal the marriage though. Good Luck!

for your help to understand this case i am stating our story in summary.

we met in a friendship site. after chatting for almost 8-9 months, i came to her in usa -1stly to know her personally and do some art stuff together. i went back and decided to do K1. so i came 2nd time and wanted to help arranging everything and wanted to hand deliver stuffs like some evidences.But what was also the purpose was the entire project we worked together was to be changed as the publisher didnt like it .And thats what we showed at the consulate. Now after living here for 2.5 months or so her doctor told that her shots are not working and she has to go through a surgery. She wanted me to stay back and we got married 7 days before my visa ended. So we are writing all these in the letter of intention and making a statement from the doctor ready for the interview stage.

so now as we are doing the aos here, can uscus contact my perents ? need to know this urgently. Thanks

can u pls tell me what kind of affidavits ?? My have my original birth certificate from my state govt in india and written in english

Affidavits are not needed if you have original birth proof. Lot of other things matter as well for AOS.

How old are you and how old is your wife? When did you enter US on B1/B2? How long after your entry did you get married? How long did you know your wife for? Do you stay together? DO you have joint accounts? All these matter for AOS.

I am 31 and my wife in 22 yrs elder.

March,08.

How long did you know your wife for?
since feb,07

Do you stay together?
yes we stay togther since March,08 . We have lots of recommendation letters from her friends, her daughter, our tenant and also envelopes of different things addressed to my name . And we have lots of pics of us in different occassions & with different people.

DO you have joint accounts?
Yes we have joint savings & chekings accounts.we also have joint water bills, joint gym & video store membership.
All these matter for AOS.

So what do you think of our case. your imputs wd be most helpful.

USCIS will and is known to contact people and research if they feel a fraud marriage is taking place.

I have heard of cases where parents, neighbors, etc... were contacted.

So, don't think you are "out of it" already... a large difference in age is likely to prompt USCIS to suspect of fraud.

The age difference might be an issue. Rest of it looks okay as long as you have valid proof. The IO may be interested in if you got married for a GC alone due to the age difference.

Thnaks ... so what kind of proof can we provide to show that we are bonafide. We have joint water bill, a book published together, joint bank a/cs, pics , recommendations from our fiends, her daughter and our tenant.... what specific proof can we provide with the application. We are also giving a long letter of intent written by the USC. It summarizes our story.

Does this question come along in the application stage or the interview stage? I have heard they take a stokes interview on the same day of the interview ?

It all comes up during the interview. You seem to have the documents to prove it. Look at the questions and prepare for it from immihelp. They have quite a comprehensive list.

Thanks PraetorianXI, i agree to you , i have heard USCIS do research & contact. But the cases I have heard are all consular processing like CR-1/ K1 / K3 .... where the immigrant lives with the family and does things staying at the house. And as per as I have researched if they feel ,after looking at all evidences , recommendation , pictures , that there may be a fraud ... they go for a stokes interview in AOS case. A large dufference of age means fraud ?? If they are not satisfied after the stoks they may contact to be sure. I respect your views as you must have experiences but just wanted to share what i found out through my googling. I am having my wife write the whole story ... hope that will work. Plus we have joint a/cs, water bills, pics, memberships, letters ,emails, chats , recommendations ( from her daughter , friends, tenant) , the book & cds we published together... hope these will be ok ..... any advice ??

anyone can advice any idea....what specific proof we can show .. that wd prove the idea wrong that : if I got married for a GC alone . I have heard at the interview the IO may be suspicious about that due to the age difference.

I told below what are the evidences we are showing..... any advice any other evidence tha may be be good ? I have already summarised my story a bit here , if that helps you to understand.
