  • public assistance in the United States from any source, including the U.S.Government

    Hi:

Can anyone help me with my questions?/

I am going to file I-485.

During my MS study, I had received funding from State of Connecticut.. So does it mean I have received public assistance from US government or State.. What do you guys think will be the answer.. is Research Assistantship counted as public assistance?

"Have you received public assistance in the United States from any source, including the U.S.Government or any State,
county, city, or municipality (other than emergency medical treatment), or are you likely to receive public assistance in the
    future?"

My next question is my wife earlier had Green Card and thus an A Number. She has now received citizenship. so do i still need to mention her old A# in the application form or can I just leave it blank.

I also had an A number while I was working on OPT. So is it mandatory to mention my A number as well..

Please help me with these questions.

    Thanks in Advance.
