I-130 or I-485 Please Help

Hi,

I recently turned 21 and filled an I-130 petition for my mother. My mother lives in the U.S with me, she re-entered with a tourist visa 8 years ago.

since we can't afford a lawyer, i've been trying to find out all for myself, but i am unsure if she should file an I-485...?

Also, the check payment for I-130 was deducted from my account, i'm assuming it's a good sign, right?

I believe you should file the i130, the I495 (adjustment of status), the biometrics, and the authorization for employment. go the the immigration website and order. it comes in the mail in a package. good luck.

You can get all the forms you need free of charge from /us-visa-and-immigration-forms/. You do not need to order them. This site is a very good one and I would recommend you ask Praetorian XI for information because he is very knowledgeable. Some people are new to this site and are posting incorrect information.
