H4 Status if EAD is used

Hi,
I have my EAD renewed(valid until Oct,2010) and currently working on H1 VISA. My wife is here with me on H4 VISA but her EAD is expired and planning to renew it soon..but mean while if I start using my EAD..will my wife will be out of status? thanks in advance...

No, As long as a 485 is pending, there is no need to renew the EAD for wife to be in status. You also need to know that EAD does NOT provide a status but is authorization to work.
