after researching online, found out about this whole aos issue. came in the us as a visitor from canada and am thinking about marrying my significant other. can i apply for a greencard based on marriage to a usc from here, but sent to the consulate and stay until it is approved at csc/nvc? i got no i94 since im canadian.
i also have a child in canada staying with my parents while i am visiting , to bring down if we do wind up getting married and decide to stay here. if applying from the u.s for aos instead of applying for a spouse visa, can my significant other apply for my child to come down while my aos would be pending?
we really do not want to be apart anymore. my usc signifcant other would rather come to canada with me if i had to go back after my visitor visa stay is over and wait until i am approved if have to and have a family member co-sponsor me since he would obviously have to give up his job to move to canada with me until i am approved.
so that is why i am wondering if we can apply for my child right away if we were to get married, and i just stayed here and did a aos if we chose to live here instead
