Hi all. I know this has been asked a million times before on here, and all lead to the same answer: Put down the new married name in the 485 Name box.
However, there is a caveat--curious as to whether the applicant can put a hyphenated name?
I am guessing no-- because the hypehnated name does not exist. Only guy's name (sponsors) exists, and the maiden name of the girl exists. So when filing for 485, you can either put down her maiden name, or the new married name in the Name Box, but you cannot put a hyphenated name, because it does not exist.
Would all of this be a fair assumption?????
Please advise.
