Adj of Status:Time frame for advance submission of Adjustment of Status Form

Brief description of issue:
I am a Naturalized US Citizen, as are my wife and younger son. However, I have an elder son who is currently on a H1 visa (work permit) resident in USA for the last near 4 years . (He had crossed 21 yrs of age when we immigrated from India to USA in 2000.)I had filed a petition I-130 in his favor in November 2003, which has since been approved by DHS. I wish to know if I or my son can now file Adjustment of Status Application for change of status and issue of a Permanent Resident Card (Green Card)? Please advise.

Your son can not file for I-485 until his priority date becomes current.
