  • Received receipt notice, what is next please?

    Dear friends,

I have received receipt notices for I-130, I-845 and work permit. On work permit it says I have to wait till I receive another appointment notice for fingerprint and photo taking, plus, they told me I can track my receipt notice for the 3 of them on internet to see when it will be processed. I called USCIS by phone and they says that it takes for EAD 1 month and others 2, 2 months to get processed, as I sent them 1st to Chicago.

My questions are: I would to know please:

1: How long it takes to process these 3 applications? My receipt number starts with MSC, that means it is being processed in MO, any ideas?

2: What is the next step, to receive appointment letter for fingerprinting and photo taking, THEN ''if cleared'', to receive a notice for interview? or it is just one notice for interview and they do finger printing the same day?

I am looking forward to hearing from you soon.

    Hi

I actually did all my paper work on my own and had my green card approved last week. Now, my green card was on a marriage basis. Is yours on a marriage basis also? If yes, I will tell you about my own experience so you can have an idea.

    Filled with USCIS on 10/23/08
Received letter for fingerprint appto on 12/01/08
Received my work permit at the end of December/08
    Applied for a social then
Received a letter for interview at the beginning of January/09
    Interviewed on 03/12/09
    Got approved
Now, be ready bring all the paper work that can possibly prove the bona fide of your marriage, relax and good luck!
It didn't take 5 months for everything to get done, without a lawyer!

          need to file I-765?

I dont understand why do we still need t file I-765 EAD since we filed already the I-130 and I-485? Isnt it if we have a tempo green card we are authorized to work in us? Or we need to file the I-765 so that the SS and drivers license can speed up immediately? please enlighten me on this. thank you

Let me ask this question as well here . I got married to a Permanent Resident (Greencard holder). I am a f1- student visa holder. I just filed all my forms as well.

My question is, am i going to receive receipts right away for all the forms ? OR is it going to take longer to receive the receipt confirmation.

I'm having the same problem on the internet. It keeps saying I'm 'Attempting to add a case that does not exist.' The problem is my case does exist. I dont know what to do about it either.
