Translation of document!! Help!!

Hi

Im adjusting status and need to translate my grades from Swedish to english. I am competent of doing this myself. i've studied english since i was 9 yrs old and am perfect speaking.

Do you need to go to an authorized translator, or will they accept my translation if i have another swedish witness sign it and state that its correctly translated?

You can do it yourself if you're qualified, meaning you are both proficient to translate both language. Just make sure to sign an Affidavit of Translation and have a Notary Public witness it and sign it. Here's a good one: https://www.immihelp.com/translation...s-immigration/


A good rule for translating documents:
-Translate them as best as possible, word for word. Even if it might not make sense.
-Do not embellish. Do not try to make sense by adding extra stuff to justify them to make sense in a translation.
