Cuban needs help.

Hello to all and thak you for taking your time to read. Well I have a special situation going on at the time. I'll start by saying that I came into the country back in 1971 when I was 11 months old. I came on a plane at a legal port of entry along with my mother with our I-94. Recently I have found out that I have (no status),apperantly my parents never got they're paper work done and since I was 11 months old at time of entry I obviosly coulnd get my papers done. Well to the present time now, I am currently in the process of filing out my I-485. I have read that a I-693 (physical examination) is not required if you've been present in the US since before 1/1/1972, my question to the experts is how can I prove this? With my original I-94? Note that I also at the time im not able to renew my License because the people at the NJ DMV are saying that I need a new I-94(since its somewhat old looking) and they have never seen one this old. So am I able to renew my I-94? Note that prior to 911 I have never had any issues obtaining a new License. We at this time I'm very confused and discoraged, I have made an appointment if INS to ask thses same questions, but just thought someone might have had the same experiences or so.
